Forget the next sale-- are you prepared to take care of your family? You should read it-- 2minutes

Over the past few months I have been prayerful about teaching a new kind of class!!! Yes a whole new EDUCATIONAL opportunity.  This is something that EVERYONE (just about) will deal with or have dealt with!

Scenario: Mom falls and breaks her hip-- hospital for a few days and dad has ALZ and can't take care of her-- cause she was taking care of him.  Now dad is home alone and mom is in the hospital and you have to work-- what now?  Mom and Dad have a few dollars, but how long will it last?  What will it cover?

Taking care of elderly or aging family members.  Everyday I sit across the desk from children and family who don't have any idea what to do next-- after a hospital stay-- What rehabilitation means?  How hospice can help?  Hospice doesn't mean what it meant 20 years ago when my grandma died-- it is so much more now-- Who pays for all of this?  What is Medicare? What is medicare replacement?  What is the difference between Medicaid?  Can I afford Assisted Living and what is the difference betweed that and Skilled Nursing?  What is the code status--DNR or FULL? What does all that mean?

The most intersting part-- is no one thinks about it at OUR age (mine is 39)-- have you talked to your parents or your own children about how you want things handeled?  Life insurance?  So many questions-- and so many different answers!

Even at 39-- my husband and I have already had our living wills done--already talked about long term care insurance and so much more.  I am working on a great program that I am planning to bring to a Rock Hill area church that will be open to the public--
