Distribution Line
Worker/Helper (Job Search Number 116279) - The responsibilities of this position are to construct, maintain and
repair electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground
lines, the installation and repair of electrical equipment such as street
lighting and load control devices and the construction of overhead and
underground distribution lines based on engineering specifications, including
setting poles, pulling cable, setting transformers, etc. This position requires
you to attend a 9 week training program that will take place in Charlotte, NC.

Sourcing of the
candidates, staffing will contact you if they feel you are a good match for the
open positions.
Step III
Testing is required
for this position - Individuals are tested on the EEI (Edison Electric
Institute) Construction and Skilled Trades Selection System (CAST). The test will take approximately two hours. The test will consist of the four different
tests below:

Graphic
Arithmetic – 30 minutes
·
Mechanical
Concepts – 20 min
·
Reading for
Comprehension – 30 min
·
Mathematical
Usage – 7 min

please follow directions online to download them.
If you do not pass
the test, you will receive a letter from staffing. If you meet the requirements for the position
and are selected to proceed in the job consideration process, you will be
notified by staffing to be scheduled for the Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
Upon successful completion of the PAT, you will move on to the interview
process.
